Dubai Culture Unveils Open Call for 14th Sikka Art & Design Festival

The Dubai Culture and Arts Authority has officially opened submissions for the 14th edition of the highly anticipated Sikka Art & Design Festival. This annual festival is recognized as one of the flagship initiatives under the city’s creative strategy, aiming to foster and showcase both emerging and established artists across various disciplines.

Organized as part of the Dubai Art Season 2025, the festival is set to take place in the vibrant Al Fahidi Historical Neighbourhood, a hub for culture and artistic expression. Artists, designers, and creative collectives from the UAE and the wider GCC region are now invited to submit their applications to be part of this dynamic platform.

The Sikka Festival is renowned for providing immersive and innovative experiences in visual arts, installation, photography, sculpture, music, and film. In its upcoming edition, the festival will present new interactive spaces, collaborative projects, and opportunities for artistic workshops and talks, catering to the city’s growing creative community.

A Dubai Culture spokesperson stated, “The aim of the Sikka Festival is to inspire and nurture talent, offering crucial exposure on both a local and international level.” The festival has been instrumental in launching and elevating the careers of many notable artists in the UAE.

Artists selected for the 2025 event will benefit not only from exposure but also from networking opportunities, access to industry resources, and the ability to engage with a diverse and enthusiastic audience. The application window is open until the end of September 2024, and shortlisted participants will be announced later in the year.

With this new edition, Dubai Culture continues its mission to position Dubai as a regional and global center for art and creativity, reinforcing the city’s status as a beacon for innovation in the cultural sector.

For more information and to submit applications, interested artists and collectives can visit the official Sikka Art & Design Festival portal.
