Ras Al Khaimah, 4th March, 2026 – H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, welcomed renowned Italian sculptor, Lorenzo Quinn, son of the late world-renowned actor Anthony Quinn, at his palace in Saqr bin Mohammed City.
During the meeting, H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi emphasized the vital role of art in promoting the values of love and peace among peoples, as well as fostering cultural and civilisational communication between different societies. He also acknowledged the humanitarian messages expressed in Quinn’s sculptures, which focus on unity, tolerance, peace, and sustainability. These themes, H.H. noted, contribute to strengthening shared human values on a global scale.
The discussion highlighted some of Quinn’s most prominent artworks and artistic projects, particularly those addressing environmental protection and raising awareness about sustainability issues—efforts that align with ongoing global initiatives.
For his part, Lorenzo Quinn expressed appreciation for the warm reception, affirming that “the UAE—and Ras Al Khaimah in particular—represents an inspiring environment for artists and creatives from around the world, thanks to its support for culture and the arts and its openness to diverse civilisations.”
