Ajman Crown Prince Visits Chongqing Planning, Enhances Bilateral Relations
HH Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, the Crown Prince of Ajman and Chairman of the Ajman Executive Council, recently visited the Chongqing Planning Exhibition Hall in China. This visit marked a significant moment in the strengthening of bilateral relations between Ajman and Chongqing, aligning with the strategic goals outlined during the Make it in the Emirates 2025 event.
During his visit, Sheikh Ammar was briefed on the city’s development plans and urban strategies, highlighting the advanced infrastructure and innovative projects underway in Chongqing. The city’s vision for sustainable growth and modernization aligns well with Ajman’s own ambitions for economic diversification and urban development.
The visit was part of a broader diplomatic engagement aimed at fostering deeper ties between Ajman and Chongqing. Recently, it was announced that the Ajman government and Chongqing Municipality signed 10 strategic Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs), with one of them focusing on establishing a sister-city relationship. This partnership is expected to enhance cooperation in areas such as trade, tourism, education, and cultural exchange.
Sheikh Ammar also met with Emirati students studying in China, expressing support for their academic pursuits and cultural immersion. This interaction underscores the Crown Prince’s commitment to nurturing the next generation of leaders while strengthening UAE-China relations.
The visit to Chongqing underscores Ajman’s proactive approach to international cooperation, aiming to leverage these partnerships to drive economic growth and development within the emirate. As Ajman continues to expand its global footprint, such strategic engagements are crucial for positioning the emirate as a hub for innovation and investment in the region.
